FAQs
What size will my commission be?
Whilst this depends on the subject and any additional requests. Portraits and illustrations are around 16” x 11” with an additional space for mounting taking them to18” x 12”.
What is a high-resolution photo?
Check your image properties, the resolution should be at least 300 PPI or 300 DPI to be considered hi-res. However, if you have a favourite photograph that doesn’t meet the definition we can discuss a work around.
What if I don’t like the final product?
I ask for 50% deposit to cover any work undertaken in the unlikely event you are not completely satisfied with the final product. You will be given a chance to see the commission for comment before it goes to print.
Can you do a limited edition print run?
Yes, if you would like more than one copy, we can discuss a limited print run. This starts at £25 per print.
Isn’t digital art just cheating?
All the portraits are hand drawn, but instead of using a graphite pencil and paper, or a paintbrush and canvas, I use a digital drawing pad and pen. This allows me to produce high quality oil-like paintings more efficiently with greater opportunity for revisions, adjustments, special effects and different sizing.
How much will this cost?
£150 is a flat fee, subject to the size of the image, detail and any special requests. For this, you will receive one excellent quality print and one high-resolution digital image.
Can you frame the printed product?
I can source a bespoke mount and frame from Easy Frame at a reasonable additional cost of around £35, subject to size, frame choices and mounting. Though this will add to the final cost and delivery time.
